There's magic in the air! Celebration Square is lit up for the holiday season, homes are adorned with twinkling lights, shopping centres are packed and there are plenty of fun, festive events happening across the city! Take a look at what's happening this month in Mississauga!
Visitors can revel in the sights and smells of a traditional Christmas at beautiful Benares Historic House on December 9. Explore the visitor centre to learn about winter celebrations from around the world then walk back to the Historic Benares House and be transported to Canadian Christmas past. There will be carolers, Christmas activities and a live Nativity Scene. Cost is $15 per family. Event runs from 12 – 4 p.m.
If you don't mind the short drive downtown, the Toronto Christmas Market is a sight to be seen come the holiday season! Voted a Top Ten holiday market by Fodor's Travel, the Christmas Market features dozens of vendors set up in the unique Distillery Historic District. Open daily until December 23, the market also offers activities for kids, the Candy Cane carolers, pet photos with Santa and much more. Be sure to come hungry! Join neighbours, family and friends at Celebration Square on New Year's Eve and help countdown to 2018! Ring in the New Year with high energy performances by international recording artists, grab a bite to eat from one of the many delicious food trucks, and enjoy a spectacular fireworks show at midnight! Admission is free, event will run from 8 p.m. – 12 a.m.
